October 15 is world Blog Action Day.

What would happen if every blog published posts on the same topic, on the same day? One issue. One day. Thousands of voices.

On October 15th, bloggers around the web will unite to put a single important issue on everyone’s mind - the environment. Every blogger will post about the environment in their own way and relating to their own topic. Our aim is to get everyone talking towards a better future.

Today is October 16 in Bangkok and yeah, I missed out on the fun. But it's never too late to post anything about environmental causes so here's my little piece of the action.


Look what I got at the nearby grocery store.



I know it looks sissy to be carrying this and all, but this grocery bag is going to help save the environment. Instead of having the grocer pack my stuff in plastic bags that takes 10 to 12 years to decompose (yes, that long, and think how many plastic bags are being used and produced every day), he will place them in this bag, with some discounts at the side for being Green-conscious. According to the promo girl, this bag will survive about a thousand trips to the grocery store.

Is any supermarket in the Philippines ever going to think of such initiatives?
